Dry Ingredients
1¼ cup almond flour
½ cup lupin flour
¼ cup arrowroot powder
½ tsp sea salt
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp baking powder
Wet Ingredients
4 tbsp butter, melted (look for grass fed butter, or use ghee, tallow, avocado oil, olive oil or coconut oil )
½ c milk of choice (unsweetened nut milk or full fat dairy milk both work well in this recipe)
2 large eggs (look for pastured eggs when possible)
Filling Ingredients
1½ cup cheese, (shredded (I use Manchego))
1 cup cooked broccoli, (chopped)
½ cup cooked sausage
Preheat oven to 400℉
Add almond flour, lupin flour, arrowroot, sea salt, baking soda, and baking powder to a medium size mixing bowl and mix well.
To the flour mixture, add butter, eggs, and milk. Mix well using a fork or spatula.
Fold the cheese, cooked crumbled sausage, and cooked and chopped broccoli to the dough.
Divide the dough into 6 muffin compartments or roll and shape by hand and bake on a cookie sheet (either method will work!)
Enjoy these biscuits warm with grass fed butter!
Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
